Real Madrid Chase 16 Year Old PSG Wonderkid
Real Madrid, heavyweights in La Liga, are said to be keen to sign 16-year-old French wonderkid Warren Zaire-Emery of Paris Saint-Germain.
According to a Spanish outlet DefensaCentral, Warren Zaire–Emery is being questioned by Real Madrid about a possible summer transfer window. The 16-year old wonderkid could be the latest to leave PSG in search of a faster pathway to first-team football.
Warren Zaire-Emery, one of France’s brightest prospects, has seen his career grow in recent years. The teenage prodigy, a defensive midfielder by trade has displayed maturity beyond his years while reading the game brilliantly.
He is currently a 16-year old who plays for PSG’s under-19 team and also plays for the French under-17 side. Zaire-Emery’s contract is only temporary and his future at PSG is uncertain. This situation attracted the attention of many high-profile clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid.
Real Madrid and PSG have been battling in the market for over a year. Most of their sparring revolved around Kylian Mbappe. Los Blancos appeared to be close to securing the services the French international in a Bosman maneuver for several months. Mbappe decided to make a late turn and commit his future to PSG, leaving Real Madrid in ruins.
Real Madrid could soon be back at PSG, but not for Mbappe whose hopes of joining the Merengues are fading. Warren Zaire-Emery is the player in question at the moment. If Real Madrid manages to sign him, he could be Casemiro’s long-term successor.
The Spanish giants are known for their pursuit of the best young talent in the market , with Erik Vazquez being the latest to be on their radar. Zaire-Emery might be open to leaving PSG. This bodes well for Real Madrid.
The Merengues have been on the trail Aurelien Tchouameni. Signing Zaire-Emery from PSG could help them move in the right direction. He still has some work to do before he can get a foothold at the Santiago Bernabeu first-team.
