Pep Munoz Joins Svay Rieng as Head Coach
Pep Munoz, the renowned Spanish UEFA Pro Licence coach, had always dreamed of taking up a challenging role that would allow him to prove his mettle. With his 19 years of coaching experience, he was confident he was up for the task. When Jobs4football presented him with an opportunity to join Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng Football Club as head coach, he knew that it was the perfect challenge for him.
Before getting to work on selecting candidates, Jobs4football had engaged with Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng Football Club’s General Manager, Christopher Grant, to understand the detailed requirements for the role. In response to our database search and marketing campaign, a shortlist of six coaches who were the best fit for the role based on their qualifications and experience were provided. Out of the six, five were interviewed from a pool of 40+ applicants, which shows the quality of candidates presented by Jobs4football. Two candidates made it to the second interview round, and one emerged as the top choice – Pep.
Pep’s credentials were impressive, having started his coaching career at UE Lleida in Spain before moving to one of the world’s top football clubs, FC Barcelona. During his four years at FC Barcelona with the U19 and Barcelona B teams, he won the U19 UEFA Champions League and two league titles. He then moved to China, where he spent seven years across Huanghai FC, Shandong FC, and the Chinese National Team, honing his skills further.
