We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Engagement Officer to come on board and join the Saints Foundation. In this role you will be working as part of the Saints Foundation Premier League Kicks team to deliver positive activities including football sessions, workshops and mentoring projects across the city.
We aim to use the power of the Southampton FC brand to work with 8–18-year old’s who are at risk of anti-social behaviour, youth violence and/or from high-need areas.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion to support young people to achieve their potential and improve their wellbeing and in doing so, working together to build a stronger, safer and more inclusive Southampton.
This role requires you to work evenings and occasional weekends due to the target audience you are working with.
What will you be doing?
You will be planning creatively, supporting and delivering exciting and engaging sessions, including 1 to 1 and group mentoring, and have the ability to build strong rapport with the community.
You will support the Project Coordinator with measuring and evaluating the impact of the project, including supporting Youth Voice sessions and yearly participants surveys.
Is this you?
If you have previous experience in delivering successful projects in communities, working with young people in a community setting or with challenging behaviours, then you’ll know what it takes.
