Job Description

Role Purpose:

Working within the Performance Support department, this role will work in collaboration with other First Team analysts to provide Sport Republic, the Men’s First Team manager, coaching and playing staff insights on our performance. The role requires support to embed and evolve the agreed game model across the football club and wider Sport Republic group.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for presenting insightful video, analytics, and written dossiers on the men’s first team opposition to fulfil the First Team Analysis department’s requirements, along with collaboratively analysing live match day performance to ensure informed feedback to the first team coaching staff and players.

You will be required to contribute to the post match video analysis process and interpretation of performance analytics, along with the generation of analytics databases to monitor short-, medium- and long-term performance targets on a team and individual level. You will also contribute to the SFC PlayBook philosophy projects on a team and individual level.

The role will also involve providing feedback to the technical staff regarding team performance and evolving the game model and supporting the collection and management of training analysis to provide performance insights.

Other duties include:

  • Analysing global footage to produce meaningful intelligence capable of impacting performance, across all Sport Republic clubs.

  • Attendance of agreed first team fixtures.

  • Supporting football research projects as requested by your line manager and/or senior stakeholders.

  • Being proactive with your performance development to progress within your role.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive tactical understanding within elite football.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that align to a high-performance environment.

  • Willingness to embrace change and new concepts.

  • Experience of delivering and communicating performance insights to key stakeholders.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in elite performance analysis.

  • Post graduate degree related to sport science, data science or performance analysis or similar experience
