The Position:The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) is the governing body for football in the Republic of Ireland. The Purpose of the organisation is “to grow participants to our game and deliver the best footballing experience for all.” The Vision of the FAI is “using football to inspire and unite the nation.”
This panel is being created to provide administrative support to different departments within the FAI as vacancies arise including roles in both football departments and corporate departments.
The Administrator/Executive will be responsible for providing a high-level of administrative support to an assigned team, through a number of key activities including; general admin, data input, responding to and dealing with queries by phone and email, arranging meetings, data collation and analysis and preparing reports and presentations.
You will play a key role in assisting the relevant department to reach their key targets and objectives as outlined in the Football Association of Ireland Strategy 2022-2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of assigned team/department.
- Create correspondence and documents and maintain records, spreadsheets and databases using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access
- Support the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to inform internal and external stakeholders and quality check same
- Coordinate and deliver on logistical requirements as required
- Assist with travel/accommodation requirements as required
- Support invoicing and procurement activities
- Support inventory management - order and maintain required equipment
- Support Time and Attendance Management
- Liaise with staff in other departments and with external contacts
- Take part in project work as required
- Maintain and update online databases, portals, platforms and filing systems as required
- Duties as assigned by line manager which may differ dependent on the department the administrator/executive is assigned to
- Perform other duties as required from time to time

- A third level qualification is desirable or relevant work experience
Experience
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience
- Experience working as part of a team
- Project management experience
- Experience working to strict deadlines
- Diary management experience
