Barcelona and Juventus Fight for Turkish Wonderkid
Barcelona will reportedly have a difficult time competing against Serie A giants Juventus to sign Kenan Yildiz.
Fabrizio Roma is an Italian journalist who claims Kenan Yildiz is being sought by Juventus to make a Bosman-related move during the summer transfer window. Barcelona is joining the race to sign 17-year-old Turkish wonderkid. Bayern Munich has not yet agreed to a new agreement.
Kenan Yildiz is considered one of the most promising young playmaker in Europe. Since joining Bayern Munich just a decade ago, the teenage prodigy has grown to be an international star. The Bayern Munich under-19 side saw him play most recently, enjoying a fantastic 2021/22 year.
Yildiz was able to score six goals and eight assists in 20 appearances and has caught the eye of many high-profile clubs across Europe. With no agreement reached with Bayern Munich, the 17-year-old will be released as a free agent. This was in response to his situation being reported to Barcelona and Juventus.
Yildiz had been on Barcelona’s radar for a while, and the Catalan giants were in talks for months over a Bosman transfer. Barcelona is ecstatic that the Turkish prodigy has decided to leave Bayern Munich Has.
The move will be a boost to the young wonderkid, who will seek to become the latest success story of La Masia.
Gavi, Nico Gonzalez, Ansu Fatti are three academy graduates that have established a foothold within Barcelona’s first-team over recent years. Yildiz could be a good option for Barcelona, as the financial situation is still not in its favor. To sign the 17-yearold, however, the Blaugrana may have to compete with Juventus.
The Serie A greats aren’t known for making sure that their players become first-team stars. If they see potential in a prospect, however, they are more likely to invest in him. Paul Pogba of Juventus is the perfect example.
